Physical Description:
Layla has been described as pretty by a few, gorgeous by a couple and hot by a good number of people. She was graced with smooth pale skin and a strong facial structure that makes her look a bit androgynous with shorter hairstyles. She wears her dirty blond hair waist length for that very reason and sports a fashionable blunt-cut bang with it. She takes good care of her hair and keeps it smooth, soft and silky with a modest amount of products and a charm or two on bad weather days. Her gray-blue eyes are always framed by just the right amount of eyeliner and mascara and she likes her eyelids coloured. Depending on the occasion (a party, a ball, a shopping trip or just one of those days she feels like adding a little something extra) she likes to use yellows, tasteful greens and dark burgundies. Most days, though, it’s just a little extra shading. She rarely wears anything on her lips, just lip balm to keep them soft and pretty.
Layla is very into fashion. She likes avant-garde looks but keeps her wardrobe a little more conventional but extra stylish. She adores hooded things and has a variety of styles in her wardrobe for any occasion. She always makes sure her school uniform and robes sit flatteringly on her and can be seen adjusting little bits of her clothes throughout the day.
She has a slim build; flat stomach, small rear, modest sized breasts and a gentle but well defined curve to her lithe waist and hips. The flatness of her chest and butt add to her androgynous look at times but she carries herself with definite femininity, making it less noticeable with the right clothing.
Character History:
Loretta and Cyrus Morgan were upper-middle class, pureblooded Wizards. Each was from a large family with three or four siblings each. When it came down to having kids, neither really thought it was fair to have so many children and quickly decided that one would do. Jeremy was pleased to have sired a good, strong boy like Talon. He was a wonderful son. He was smart, witty, cunning, strong and protective of his family. When he was seven years old, playing by himself in the backyard, Loretta decided that she no longer believe that one child was enough. She still was not keen on a large family, but Talon needed a sibling to share his home life with. Cyrus agreed with his wife’s train of thought and they decided to have another child.
Layla was well protected as a child. Talon loved his sister unconditionally and her parents were always proud of her. She was not an over achiever but she was no slacker, either. What she chose to do she proved to be reasonably skilled at and she had a knack for understanding how things worked and what they meant. She was cunning like her brother and made a good number of friends.
When she received her owl from Hogwarts, Layla was quietly excited. And her parents and brother were proud. Talon fretted at first that he would not be there to watch over her at the school, having just graduated, but believed that Layla would find her own way. The Sorting Hat sorted her into Slytherin for her sharp, cunning mind and her intuition. Talon, a former Ravenclaw, assured that her sorting didn‘t make her evil but he should have known Layla better. She wasn‘t worried.
In her first year she did pretty well in Flying Class, but not well enough to join the team the next year, or the year after that, or the year after that. She was alright with it only being a hobby but was a seriously avid fan. She frequently made the little flags, badges, banners and other fan-bits for the matches.
Layla‘s in an odd add place these days. She‘s turning eighteen soon and she doesn‘t think she knows exactly who she is. It doesn‘t keep her up at night because she assumes it‘ll sort itself out. It makes it difficult to say where she stands on important issues. She refuses to talk about the war. She thinks, probably, it will all sort itself out too and she‘ll live with it. If she studies, lives, has fun, experiences life, it shouldn‘t matter half as much as everyone makes it seem like it will. So she tries to focus on that.

Quirks:
Layla tends to fidget with the hems of her skirts or sleeves subconsciously, crack her knuckles when she’s bored and chew on the inside of her lower lip when she’s nervous..
BOGGART
Layla is pretty superficial when it comes to fears, so her boggart would probably be an old, ugly cracked mirror reflecting her dressed in atrocious clashing, mismatched outfit with a hideous, frizzy, lopsided haircut and clown makeup. Also wer and covered in blood. (Okay, Layla’s got some deep down issues) Her riddikulus spell would make the mirror a fun house mirror reflecting her in a sarong, bikini top and a fruit hat.
PATRONUS
A fluffy silver Birman cat
ERISED
Layla would be older and dressed in something new and fashion forward with a warm, content smile on her face. She would have a happy Boots in her arms and a handsome man holding her waist gently. (Who the man is could be blurry or take the shape of what boy she has a crush on at the time.
Personality:
Layla, like most teenage girls, is a complicated creature. Stuck between Wanting everything to make sense and not wanting to care too much about it. Despite her meticulous fashion sense, she’s not self absorbed or even particularly high maintenance. She knows she’s pretty but doesn’t care half as much as it might seem. She enjoys her face and body and uses it in the sense that it allows her to wear things other girls might not be able to pull off. She rarely uses it to manipulate people unless it’s the best/only way to achieve the desired results, whatever they may be. Self righteous types bother the hell out of her and she tends to be snaky at them and finds that often insults come easier to her mind than compliments. It’s not that she’s mean-spirited, she just gets aggravated by a lot of people her age. She has similar contempt for those of her own house who act like their money, their blood, their House or their looks make them the most divine being ever to grace their schoolmates with their presence.
Layla doesn’t work herself too hard but does expect something of herself. It’s not healthy to stress too much about school. She doesn’t even know what she wants to do with her life, so she tries to keep all of her options open without focusing too hard on one thing.

]Dear Headmistress Tabitha Solaris,[/i]
I must say that it bring me great pleasure to know such a fine, upstanding woman has taken the position formerly held by such a blatant traitor to the best interest of our kind. Though I must, in truth, apologize to you for the sheer tardiness of the letter which you now hold. Current affairs have kept my schedule full to bursting and being the minister of a new world order is no easy task with an abundance of free time, though I have found that this night would be a perfect night to visit my dear old alma mater and see how time has treated her wounded self. I’ll be more than happy to give you my congratulations on your instatement as the headmistress on this very night. Do be prepared for my arrival, as being the figurehead of my dearest school, it would be unbecoming to find the accommodations anything less than decent.
With sincerity,
Minister of Magic and most powerful Dark Lord Voldemort
Tabitha stared at the parchment in her hand for some time. "The Dark Lord," "Voldemort," "He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named." The most powerful Dark Wizard in history and, more importantly, the man truly responsible for Albus' murder. He was coming to her school-And it was her school, now. Salem would always be her school as well but this school would be hers all the same- to...what? Check in on her? Give her an ultimatum? Take it from her? She could not be sure of his intentions but one thing was certain; Tabitha Lunaris was far from afraid.
As in any event of confrontation, Tabitha steeled herself and prepared herself to defend her position in whichever manner the situation called for.
Presently, Tabitha set the charms on the office to keep those who might enter through the passage behind the Gargoyle from coming up and prepared the charm that kept anyone from leaving the room without herpermission. Calmly, she set the letter down and off to the side, pulling her own paperwork up to look over as Beethoven's Symphony No. 3 in E-flat Major played softly through the room. Tabitha always liked to listen to operas while she did paperwork.
