Character History:
As the second born Weasley child, Charlie admittedly got it a lot better than the brothers and sister who followed him. With four years separating him from the next son, Percy, and a generous size difference between himself and Bill, Charlie got to enjoy being the baby without having to take hand-me-downs.
Okay, about that size difference - pre-adolescent Charlie was a chubby and grubby kid. It wasn't until he hit puberty and a growth spurt that his height finally shot up enough to make sense of his width. And it wasn't for another few years after that that he finally shed his baby fat, revealing the broad shoulders and narrow waist that had been hidden all those previous years. If girls hadn't already started noticing him because of his goofy personality and skill on the Quidditch field, they definitely would have started once he filled out (and in some cases, tucked in) properly.
Despite his unusual build for a Seeker, he was one of the best Seekers Gryffindor (and some say Hogwarts) ever had. But while he loved Quidditch, his favorite thing about school was Care of Magical Creatures. He had a way with animals, perhaps because they recognized his gentle but firm nature, or maybe just because once his voice stopped frollicking around in the throes of puberty, it reached a nice deep, mellow, even pitch that could soothe everything from a furious girlfriend to an insulted Hippogriff. In a tradition that would continue with a good portion of the Weasley brood, he spent a lot of Saturday afternoons in Hagrid's hut, only unlike the rest of the brood, he spent those afternoons eagerly discussing magical creatures, and the fondness for such creatures that they shared.
Still, though it was obvious to Charlie what career he wanted to pursue after school, it came as a surprise to many of his classmates when he turned down several offers from professional Quidditch teams to take an apprenticeship in Romania as a dragon keeper.
His mum cried, of course. Cried and wailed and demanded that he stay closer to home where there were no ornery, fire-breathing dragons to threaten her son's precious life. Bill had been taken on as a curse breaker at Gringotts, and now Charlie wanted to go wrestle dragons? Charlie stuck to his guns, however, and in the end, she settled for the only compromise he would offer - he let her cut his hair before he went.
For the next several years, he worked hard in Romania with his trainer, learning all about dragons and how to keep them away from unsuspecting muggles. Indirectly, he learned other lessons, too, such as teamwork, trust, and when to hold your ground or dive for cover.
When Voldemort returned, and Dumbledore reinstated the Order of the Phoenix, Charlie was old enough to join, and wanted very much to come back to England and help. Dumbledore, however, thought it was more important that Charlie stay in Romania and help by recruiting foreign wizards to the Order's side. While Charlie took his 'assignment' gracefully enough, he always had a sneaking suspicion that his mother had given Dumbledore such an earful that the old man had acquiesced. Apparently, dragons weren't so bad at all when compared to nasty death eaters.
However, news of Dumbledore's death came quickly to Charlie's ear in Romania, and the news that Voldemort had taken over the Ministry came hot on its heels. This time, there was no one to stop him. The Order would need every capable hand it could get on its side, and persuading foreign wizards to sign up for a war that they thought had nothing to do with them wasn't getting anywhere, anywhere. So, leaving his beloved dragons and Romania behind, Charlie returned to England to do his part in the war.

Likes:
- Goofing off with his brothers.
- Magical creatures, especially dragons.
- His mother's cooking.
- His brothers and sister, and their friends.
- His dragon keeper friends, who still keep in touch.
Dislikes:
- Ickle Voldemort, his stupid snake and his brainless death eaters.
- The new Ministry.
- The smell of burn paste.
- Losing friends and loved ones to the war.
- When his mum cries.
Fears:
- His family dying anything other than natural causes.
- Secretly, he may be concerned a little that the new Ministry will win.
- Also secretly, he's afraid that Ron and Harry, who have been missing for some time, are dead.
- Like all of the Weasley children, he's dead scared of his mum when she starts raging at him.
Goals:
- TO VANQUISH YOU-KNOW-WHO (yeah!)
- To find Ron and Harry alive, and put their asses to work for the Order again.
- To give his mum some sort of sanity by letting her brutalize his hair when she starts getting twitchy in general.
- To return to Romania and get back to his friends and dragons after this war is over.
Skills:
- You've never really been stunned unless you've been stunned by a dragon keeper.
- He's used to team work, and gets accustomed to the body language of others quickly, as sometimes there isn't time to convey what needs to be done with words.
- He's a really good dueler, having plenty of practice with his older brother, Bill.
- He makes flying on a broomstick look easy.
Quirks:
Charlie's usually pretty laid back, taking things in stride and slow to anger. When it boils down to it, though, he's capable of making decisions in an instant, and once he's in action, that laid-back quality seems to vanish. In general, he enjoys tinkering with things, but that's simply a hobby, and his favorite Quidditch teams hail from England and Ireland.
BOGGART
A Norwegian Ridgeback holding his broken wand in her salivating jaws. To banish it, she'd suddenly shrink into a baby, then turn into a harmless dragon egg.
PATRONUS
A border collie.
ERISED
A raging party going on behind him, with banners celebrating the fall of You-Know-Who and his entire family standing out like sore thumbs with their red hair, everyone safe and alive and happy. Oh, and a dragon somewhere in the background, just chillin'.
Personality:
Charlie is relaxed, warm and friendly. He just has a personality that's easy to get along with. He treats his younger brothers and sister like equals, never like children, and has a knack at making others feel comfortable around him.
He likes jokes - the lamer, the better - and the noise and bustle at the Weasley home. Strangely enough, it reminds him of being in Romania with dragons (and vice versa), especially when his mum flies off the handle.

»»THE WAR[/color]
Affiliation:
The Order
Why:
Because Voldemort and his followers are backwards. Seriously, they're warped in the head. If they get their way, the wizarding world will crumble in just a few short generations. Besides, Death Eaters can promote inbreeding all they want, but it will never be Charlie's idea of a good time. Idiots. Aside from that, his family, as the biggest bunch of blood traitors ever, is a natural target of the Death Eaters, which is enough of a reason to pick the side of the Order.
