“You made a mistake
On the day that you met me and lost your way
You saw all the signs
But you let it go
You closed your eyes
I shoulda told you to leave
Cause I knew all the time you couldn't handle me
But you're hard to resist
When you're on your knees
Begging me
I tear you down
I'll make you bleed eternally
Can't help myself
From hurting you when it's hurting me
I don't have wings
So flyin with me won't be easy
Cause I'm not an angel
I'm not an angel"

As Gabe, whom is now dead:
Each droplet that the cold morning had to offer ended up crushed below four mighty ligaments, which prowled that early dawn. Head held low, the dog sniffed; its nostrils flared and retracted countless times. In fact, this morning was such a glorious morning, though the creature did not know why. Perhaps it was the way his heart thumped in the darkness, still awaiting a glimpse at the mighty life-force just minutes from rising from its grave. Or perhaps it was the hunt it longed for, since it had been stalking its prey for at least an hour or so.
“You must be a hunter in these times, my son. At any moment another hunter can strike, so you must be on your toes.”
The man use to go on and on about being stronger than the rest, always being keen, and having wits. The man was useless, which wasn’t too much of a surprise. He was more a coward in his peers and most of all, in his son’s eyes. That faithful night he was ordered to kill off an old friend and he got cold feet. The cold feet are what led to his brutal end. Now with the pressure on his shoulders, Gabe had to prove himself to his master in order to stay alive.
He reared his head, taking in a few more gulps of air through his nose. The mighty black head almost blended in with the dark blue sky. The stars had gone to sleep and the dull orange was just piercing the horizon. His head jolted, snapping towards his left and those cropped ears twitching slightly. Transfixed by the noise and the scent lingering in his face, the hound of hell slowly crouched low, almost tip-toeing after the hunted.
“Now you, young Capulet, you must do what he has failed to do. Do not disappoint me, boy. You kill him and bring his wand back. Then we shall present it to our lord.”
Within the chaos, he ran, bolting through duels and engaging in a few himself. The uproar was around him, though it all seemed to slow as the young man dodged spells, and focused only on his mission. It had seemed like instant when he met up with another one of his leaders. Gabriele had stopped, yanking the man aside.
“Brother, we must leave. All the members are gathering to prepare for a big strike,” he lied, looking into the man’s wrinkled face. He had nodded, but as soon as he stepped out, the ebony wand prodded the back on his neck.
In through the bushes he went, making sure to take his time as he crept through them. Those eerie gold orbs glimmered as the sun poke its head up. He lay low within the darkness of the tree line, waiting as he watched the delicate creature move. It had been thrashing over his territory and finally he had been able to locate it. The pesky cockatrice had been poking its beak around for far too long now. The dog waited, twitching his tail slightly as he watched the lizard bird poke around.
His ears went back and his lips started to salivated. He was mentally preparing himself for this task. The thing would try and fly, which he needed speed on his side. He could only hope to finally get it this time. It had been three weeks attempting to get this thing and each time it flew off. Not this time, he told himself, not this time. He needed to kill it to get some sort of self satisfaction. He just needed to...
“Going to kill me then, boy?”
“Indeed I am.”
“Do it then, already and stop wasting my time”
He had dug the wand further into the back of his head. Killing that muggle took balls, but he felt some sort of peacefulness flashing over him. He locked off his emotions as he shoved the man out in front of him. He forced him to walk down the hall, allowing him to be in the midst of all the danger. In fact, all he wanted to do was get him outside and quick as possible.
As soon as the air had hit their faces, he lifted his leg and knocked the man down to the ground. He had held out his wand, sneering as he prepared himself for the final blow.
“You’ve betrayed our master!” he shouted, glimpsing over at his peers watching. He snapped his head back around, blonde tossing about over his face. “CRUCIO!” The man writhed and wriggled in pain, shouting out painful cries and gasping for what air he could get. He felt himself go, making the man toss and flop about like a fish out of water. He kept shouting it and shouting it until he saw crimson burst from his mouth. He bent down, poking his face, chuckling.
“Still alive? Well, let’s change that…” He continued to shout those evil words until the man stopped moving. He was just barely breathing and his eyes dulling. Gabe uttered those final words and the green spell sank into his body, rendering it lifeless…
The massive dog launched itself out of the bushes, high tailing it towards the lizard bird. He heard a squawk erupt, but he wasn’t going to let this damn thing get away. It frantically waved its dragon-like wings in an attempt to fly away, but with those muscles flexing from the Black Death, it was too late. The dog was on top of the large bird, sinking its teeth into its neck and holding it as it flapped about. It made many sounds that would make anyone’s blood run cold, but the dog stood still, holding it. The flush of copper taste coated his mouth and mixed with drool, the blood hung from his jowls.
It stopped kicking… eventually. He felt this rush of warmth all over him and he was excited. He dropped his kill, looking down at it was some sort of sick pleasure. He seemed to chuckle on the inside, circling the dead half-bird. He was soon walking on two legs, looking down at the creature at his feet, shoving his hands into his pockets. He lifted his arm to wipe the blood from his lips, cackling softly to himself.
“As a hunter, my son, you must keep your sense keen and you must have some wits. In a time of darkness, you must make the darkness fear you.”
