hogwarts, 2023believe it or not, the order's victory over voldemort in the second war was long-lasting. in the time since that day- more than two decades ago- when a new air of freedom and safety befell the wizarding world, aurors have just about finished rounding up the last of old death eaters, and peace today is a tangible thing. one of the benefits of this- to the children of the generation we followed as it grew up, at least- is the chance for the young witches and wizards of hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry to enjoy as normal a school life as possible for magical teenagers. so, come to hogwarts- there is no war looming ominously, and there's no imminent threat to the students- just a bunch of hormonal teenagers trying to find their place in a world of peace, friendship, enlightenment, learning, and, most importantly: magic.
i suppose, though, teenagers will be teenagers, and teenagers sure love to* MAKE WAR ,,
