PICTURE RUSH! KEKEKEKEKEKE! PAGE STRETCH! GOGOGO!
The area in which we're staying; I think it's Cape Sable Island, where our cottages are, but it could be on the mainland Nova Scotia. We're on a little island off an island. Awesome. Also, the level of sunniness in those pictures? Preeeeetty much like that all day every day. Mirth.
Mom and I arriving to the scene, investigating the various cabin spaces. I dunno; I look kind of displeased, and completely unaware that there's a camera pointed at me. Probably because at this point, I had been awake for twenty-eight hours straight.
The, uh, "yard" outside of our original cabin. There's a firepit near the wood pile, but I have yet to enjoy the bonfires. PROBABLY BECAUSE OF THE FUCKING DIRE MOSQUITOES ATTACKING THE SHIT OUT OF EVERYONE. MAYBE? POSSIBLY? I THINK SO.
... Lololololololol. Eatin' a muffin, makin' fun of mom and Sir. Loungin' in jammies. Bein' awkward. First morning in Canada.
I like to collect rocks! In water that's about fifty degrees on a good day! Lookin' like a fattooooo.
Oliver! That puppy was love. We met him at the beach the second day (same timeframe as the badge of manliness picture above), and he was the sweetest little thing. He's part rabbithound (like a beagle) and dachshund. That's my cousin Julia with him, but, you know. It's all about Oliver.
Iiiiiii'm not sure where this is. Or when. D:
Ahh, we went to go see my grandmother and her sister's old schoolhouse. We decided to take a family photo in the doorway, because that's super cool! So, I'm the only one who has apparently had any experience with a timerrrrr, and it shows:
See? We figured it out by the second go.
Sir liked this, so I grabbed the picture for him.
Some snails! They were not the snails that I made friends with, but I couldn't find their pool once I left them to get the camera. I had to settle for these.
Sir took this picture. I thought it was neat. It's a lonely tree that we saw on the way to greet the sheep!
SHEEEEEEP. The little lambling was walking over to me, so I photographed his progress; it's the one time I actually got to see his face (and it is a he! I saw his little horns coming in!), so I took advantage of it.
Kind of rubbish picture of the ewe. She didn't want to look at me as much.
BUT HAH. The sheep came over to me, looking for treats! I had none, but I got to pet them! And Sir photographed it!
^o^ Moar pets!
The ducks! They were running over to greet me!
Runnin' hard! The ducklings leading mama duck.
Here they were at my feet, looking for things to nibble. The one in the center is the biggest duckling; the one with the orange beak is very silly, and the middle one. I picked him up, but the mama yelled at me, lmao.
All three ducklings!
Offering them lettuce hearts, by Nana's suggestion. "Rubbish!" they called. They spat it out, and tried to eat my fingers and rings, instead!
"Rubbish!"
TWO DUCKLINGS IN MY LAP. AWESOME. I have a muffin for them now! They love them some muffins!
I love this. They were attacking the muffin faster than I could take off small pieces for them, so I just held it out for them to take their own bites.
That muffin was gone in minutes. OHM NOM NOM. You can see all the crumbs on their backs; the little one ended up with jelly on his beak, and they were pecking at each other to eat the crumbs off each others' backs. It was super precious.
My, uh, cousin of some sort, Charlotte. She's too cute. :'D That's her mama, holdin' her. Or, carrying her, anyway. It's one of those front-loading baby packs, hah. Charlotte is a screamer, though. She fusses and squawks at everything, and she has some powerful lungs on heeeeerrrrr.
